Methodology and Definitions

The data is typically updated after a company files its financial reports with the appropriate regulatory authority (not when they issue an earnings press release).

Share calculations are based on basic shares outstanding, all classes.

All monetary figures (Revenue, Net Income, EBITDA, Market Cap, EV) are converted to US dollars using the currency's historical exchange rate as of each period's report date, regardless of the company's primary listing or reporting currency. Ratios (P/E, P/S, EV/EBITDA, etc.) are currency-invariant and are not affected by this conversion.

Market Capitalization (MC)
The number of shares, adjusted for any stock splits, times the price at the date the company filed its financial reports.
Enterprise Value (EV)
Market Cap + Short-term Debt + Long-term Debt − Cash.
EBITDA
Calculated manually (we do not take company-issued EBITDA figures). We take Net Income and add back Interest expense, Tax expense, and Depreciation and Amortization.
Operating Cash Flow (OCF)
Sometimes referred to as cash flow from operations, and used as another check against EBITDA-based ratios.
Funds from Operations (FFO)
Used less often in fundamental analysis, but can make sense for real estate. We don’t include it as a filter, but do have it as a ratio for anyone interested in REITs.

Revenue, Net Income, EBITDA, and OCF values in the table are trailing twelve months (TTM).
